Turkish citizen, marketing and public relations expert, entrepreneur, mentor.
Co-founded Internexus Consulting after a long and varied career spanning a number of industries with local and global companies.
Graduated from TED Ankara College, one of Ankara’s elite schools, followed by Bilkent University (double major in Economics and Management), then Bilgi University (MBA – business process improvement and customer relationship management) finishing first in the department. Worked as a research assistant on the Executive MBA programme and in the same period gave business courses at Yeditepe University and Maltepe University. Later completed a doctorate at Cambridge University in the UK.
Started professional life as a consultant at Arthur Andersen, then as a consultant at McKinsey & Co. Successfully implemented the Customer Relationship Management Project in Hilton Chain Hotels in Turkey, which was then adopted worldwide. Worked as an executive assistant to famous PR manager Betül Mardin at Image PR, Turkey’s leading PR firm, advising clients such as Marks and Spencer, Bulgari, Swisshotel and Vestel on PR campaigns and brand creation in Turkey.
Founded an IT software and services business providing business process and workflow consultancy and software, growing to have offices in four cities and selling into the UK and US markets. Was an SAP project manager for more than 10 years, and has also received the awards of “Most Successful Entrepreneur of the Year”, “Best Solution Partner of the Year” and “Most Successful Project of the Year” for projects delivered.
Co-founded this consultancy, a corporate training business, a corporate communication and branding business (with Faruk Atasoy, Turkey’s leading marketing expert), and an English language training business it. Has provided consultancy consultancy and training to the Ministry of Health, the Credit Guarantee Fund, and a large number of SME-level companies.
Has also been a public speaker, giving seminars and speaking in conferences on areas of personal expertise, primarily marketing, human resources, personal development and mentoring.
Primary focus in Internexus Consulting is to help clients to overcome challenges around productive organizational structures and business processes.
John Newcombe
CTO
Partner – Sales and Technology
UK citizen, sales expert, entrepreneur, mentor.
Co-founded Internexus Consulting after a long and varied career spanning a number of industries with UK, European and American companies.
Graduated with BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering, worked as a freelance IT consultant for a number of years in the banking, financial trading, insurance, and engineering. Continuous self-development and professional certification led to further freelance projects in high performance systems and servers, data networking, cyber security, technical audit, and project management, across retail, transportation, communications, manufacturing and logistics industries. These culminated in an interim role as European IT manager of a large American telecomms company.
Always an entrepreneur, along the way founded or co-founded a number of companies. A hardware reseller and software development business serving SMEs, a systems and software integration business which won 2 awards, a recruitment agency, an IT support business, this consultancy, and an English language training business serving general, academic, business and professional clients. Throughout these has led sales efforts, driving millions of pounds and millions of lira in sales for own business and for clients.
Has also been a public speaker, giving seminars and speaking in conferences on areas of personal expertise, primarily sales, startups, motivation and mentoring.
